Velorbis introduces new Student & Studine range of bicycles based on its popular top models

We are really excited about our new Velorbis Student and Studine range of bicycles. We decided to create simplified versions of our popular top bicycle models to further diversify our range and offer a lower entry price point for cost-conscious customers, all with the same high quality Velorbis components, features and attention to detail.

Velorbis Student and Studine are available in both ladies and gents versions and come with either classic tyres or balloon tyres.

For example, Velorbis Student Classic is inspired by our timeless gents bicycle Churchill Classic. Velorbis Studine Classic is inspired by the chic ladies models Victoria Classic and Dannebrog, and is available in black or fire-engine red.

The Velorbis Student Balloon and Studine Balloon ladies and gents bicycles are based on our effortlessly funky Scrap Deluxe design, in metallic urban grey and Velorbis’ signature cream balloon tyres.

See London Cycle Chic’s review of our Studine Balloon.

All new Velorbis Student and Studine bicycle models have powder coated rims to match the frame colour, to give added edge and distinction. We are proud to continue creating bicycles of geometrical and ergonomic perfection that deliver a wonderful cycling experience

As the offspring of Danish design and a world renowned cycling culture that has been enjoyed in Copenhagen for around 100 years, Velorbis is devoted to ensuring that our customers have the best choice of bicycles on the market.

Good Magazine New Zealand review of 'thoroughbred’ Velorbis Dannebrog

Velorbis Dannebrog classic ladies bicycle

We came across this nice review of the Velorbis Dannebrog ladies bicycle by Su Yin Khoo in the article "The ultimate cycle chic: test-riding a Velorbis bicycle” in Good Magazine, New Zealand’s answer to sustainable living.

"And boy did the Dannebrog turn heads! Motorists can't help but admire the sexy beast when I pedal past—probably wishing they weren't stuck in traffic being subjected to cheesy music on the radio.”

We’re pleased to hear Su Yin Khoo was “riding like a royal – and enjoying it” on our red bicycle beauty Dannebrog.

London Cycle Chic proclaims Velorbis Studine Balloon the easyrider of bikes

Velorbis Studine Balloon on London Cycle Chic

Thanks to our friends at London Cycle Chic for their great review - Velorbis’s easyrider: The Studine Balloon - and for the gorgeous new promotional photo above.

Our Studine Balloon retro ladies bike is a simplified version of our popular Scrap Deluxe top model. It is no less iconic or funky that it’s premium sister. A gents version, Student Balloon, is also available.

London Cycle Chic say “The Studine Balloon is a bike that will make you smile. It's the latest from Velorbis, the experts in elegant bicycles. What I love about this bike is the mix of old and new. It has the basic design of a classic Dutch bike but with a modern, edgy twist.

There is an undoubtable coolness about this bike, it attracts attention and gets eyed up like a girl in a short skirt. What makes a Velorbis bike so special is the design.”

We love it when people get as excited and as passionate about our bikes as we do.

Danish Bicycle Culture from 1937

How about this for a lovely piece of cycling nostalgia from Copenhagen in 1937. We found this Traveltalks gem by Metro Goldwyn Mayer on Copenhagen Cycle Chic’s website – no surprise really as they always have a comprehensive array of cycling information.

Copenhagen cycling culture has been going strong since 1937 and doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. In fact, its influence seems to be stretching worldwide as the carbon conscious movement continues and cities adopt a slice of Danish cycling culture.

In 1937 Copenhagen was the largest city in Northern Europe with a population of 900,000 inhabitants. 1 person in 3 owned a bicycle. The commentator speaks about a city of bicycles, an amazing bicycle parade vision; how after each working day, the whole city seems to appear on wheels.

Copenhagen’s passion for cycling hasn’t lost any of its intensity, enjoyment or participants.

Velorbis is proud to be an offspring of this cycling culture legacy.
